Mhamid El Ghizlane is a remote oasis town at the end of the paved road along the Draa Valley. Meaning “plain of gazelles” in Arabic, it’s the last settled point before the vast Sahara, a historic caravan stop with palm groves, ancient kasbahs… and a gateway to authentic desert adventures: especially the remote Erg Chigaga dunes.
