Day1: Marrakesh – High Atlas Mountains – Telouet – Ait BenHaddou – Ouarzazate– Skoura – Roses Valley – Dades Valley
We shall explore the magnificent historical palatial residence of the Glaoui family, Kasbah Telouet, and also visit the UNESCO-protected site of Ksar Ait Benhaddou.
We will cross the town of Ouarzazate ‘oualewood city’, pass through the small town of Skoura, and follow the ‘Thousand and One Kasbah’ route to the Valley of the Roses, famous for the famous Moroccan rose, or rose Damascus. After the visite we will proceed towards the Dadès valley and canyon.
Day2: Dades Valley – Tinghir – Toudgha Valley – Tinjdad – Mallaab – Arfoud – Merzouga – the Camp
After breakfast, and after one hour of driving, you will arrive in the oasis town of Tinghir. You may wish to stop at one of the lookout spots to view the area’s surrounding scenery and take some photographs. You may also enjoy a walk around the water canals and lush vegetation.
We will traverse the town of Tinjdad, pass through Mallaab village, and visit one of the main attractions in the Sahara desert, the Khettarat, an ancient underground system of irrigation.
Day3: Merzouga desert & sand dunes of Erg Chebbi
After witnessing a breathtaking sunrise atop the towering Erg Chebbi dunes, you will enjoy breakfast before venturing into the vastness of the dunes on a camel caravan, accompanied by experienced camel handlers. You can choose to ride or walk alongside the caravan, immersing yourself in the tranquility and marveling at the stunning desert landscape and the profound silence.
You will have the opportunity to visit a local nomadic community and see their herds of goats and camels. A picnic lunch on the dunes will follow.
Later in the afternoon, you can either try sandboarding at the camp or enjoy riding ATVs and buggies on the Erg Chebbi dunes. Additionally, you can visit the Jazz village, where you can sip tea and listen to Gnawa music.
Day4: the Camp – Rissani – N’kob – Tamnougalt – Ouarzazate – Atlas montagne – Marrakesh
Departure for Marrakesh. We’ll journey through desert landscapes adorned with acacia trees.
First stop will be at the Berber village of Nkob and it’s beautiful Kasbah. Continuing on, we’ll pass several biblical Sub-Saharan villages until we arrive at the town of Agdz. Here, you can visit the majestic Kasbah of Tamnougalt and take in panoramic views from Tizi’n-Tinififfet (1660 m).
Finally, we’ll traverse the Great Atlas mountains, offering breathtaking mountain sights. By late afternoon, we will return to Marrakech.
